The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025 has officially begun at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and will run until 20 January 2025. This year’s forum proudly features the participation of the upcoming ASEAN Festival 2025, scheduled to take place from 1st to 6th November 2025, as a key initiative promoted during the event.

Welcome and Opening Highlights
The opening ceremony of the forum witnessed an array of distinguished dignitaries:
- Welcome Remarks by YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Chief Minister of Johor.
- Opening Speech by YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Malaysia.
- Official Launching of TRAVEX jointly conducted by YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi, YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, Datuk Roslan Abdul Rahman, Secretary-General of MOTAC, and Mr. Eddy Krismeidi Soemawilaga, President of the ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA)
ASEAN Pavilion and Mini Museum
In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture – ASEAN, the forum features an ASEAN Pavilion and Mini Museum. This exhibition, located on the 1st floor near the entrance of the convention centre, showcases the rich culture, history, and attractions of ASEAN member countries, with contributions from their respective embassies in Malaysia.



Promotion of ASEAN Festival 2025
As part of the forum’s initiatives, the upcoming ASEAN Festival is being promoted. Scheduled for 1st to 6th November 2025, the festival aims to further celebrate and strengthen the unity and diversity of the ASEAN community.

TRAVEX: Strengthening ASEAN Tourism
TRAVEX, a core component of ATF, features 221 sellers from ASEAN showcasing their tourism offerings, along with 323 buyers from 42 countries and 100 international media representatives. This business-driven exchange fosters partnerships and collaboration within the region
