Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to regional collaboration by spotlighting ASEAN partnerships as a catalyst for transforming the nation’s dairy industry. Speaking at the launch of the Madani Dairy Entrepreneur Carnival at the Farm Fresh Dairy Complex, Anwar emphasized the strategic role of regional trust, private sector readiness, and technological innovation in driving agricultural modernization.

“Malaysia is not only rich in resources but also fortunate to enjoy strong relationships with our ASEAN neighbours. These ties unlock vast opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, especially dairy,” said Anwar.

The event, themed “Driving the Modern Agricultural Revolution, Generating the People’s Economy,” brought together stakeholders from government, industry, and local communities to accelerate growth in Malaysia’s dairy sector. The Prime Minister highlighted the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and modern farming techniques as key drivers of productivity and value chain enhancement.

In a show of immediate commitment, Anwar announced a RM1 million allocation for urgent infrastructure upgrades in the Larut, Matang, and Selama districts. This initiative aims to support local dairy entrepreneurs and improve logistical efficiency across the region.
