The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), signalling continued momentum in strengthening cooperation across key economic, security and socio-cultural sectors. ASEAN and the ROK have achieved substantive progress under the current Plan of Action (2021–2025), with cooperation spanning:

- Maritime security and transnational crime, including cybersecurity and online scams
- Trade and investment, with focus on upgrading the ASEAN–Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA)
- Digitalisation, aligned with the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement
- Clean and renewable energy, including support for the ASEAN Power Grid
- Climate action and environmental sustainability
- Smart cities, connectivity and ageing population initiatives (ASEAN)
These areas reflect both sides’ intent to future-proof the partnership and respond to regional and global challenges through coordinated action.
Supporting ASEAN’s Long-Term Vision
