The recognitions were officially presented on 11 August 2026 at the Perdana Leadership Foundation in Putrajaya, shortly after the couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on 5 August 2026.

According to ASEAN Records, no publicly documented equivalent achievement was identified within the region at the time of certification. The corresponding ASIA Records achievement was similarly assessed against major Asian markets.
The certificates were presented by Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi, Chairman of the Advisory Board of ASEAN Records and ASIA Records, accompanied by Gillian Ooi and Eldrick Koh, representing the record organisations.
