Selangor, Malaysia – On July 11, 2025, ASEAN Records officially honoured the Bangi Farm Resort Durian Festival & Awards with a prestigious ASEAN Record: First Regional-Level Durian Competition Since 2018 . This recognition highlights the festival’s leadership in advancing the durian industry and positioning Malaysia as a centre for regional agricultural excellence.

Since launching in 2018, the BGR Durian Festival has assembled a diverse community of durian growers, breeders, distributors, researchers, and enthusiasts from across Southeast Asia. Featuring competitions such as the World Durian Championship, judging for Musang King and local varieties, a live marketplace, and educational talks and tasting sessions, the event showcases quality cultivation practices and innovation.
